Libraries maintain large volumes of documentary sources such as records, manuscripts, books, films and other materials. These materials with the passage of time deteriorate and decay and need to be preserved in good condition for use.. This paper examines various types of preservation of traditional documents as well as preservation of digitized forms of documents using related technologies. Keywords
